Living a life of fitness may seem like a huge sacrifice but the benefits are huge. Not only will you look better, but you’ll live longer.

1. Eating healthy foods and staying fit will result in more energy that spills over into both work and play time. You will have more energy for work and be more active. Fit people also seem more capable. They are also perceived as more confident, approachable and charming.
2. Decreased illness- People who live a healthy lifestyle get sick less. They are not as prone to illnesses that can slow down someone’s energy levels. As a result, fit people complete most of what they intend to. They are not as hampered by time consuming doctors appointments or plagued with problems with their health. Active people rarely have to use their sick time and when they do, they will often use it for other means, like vacation or relaxation days. They aren’t obligated to take sick time just because they are ill.
3. Look younger- Individuals who live healthier lives are better looking than those who smoke and drink too much. Chemicals in alcohol and cigarettes dry up the skin and make people look older. Chemicals in cigarettes and alcohol decrease the number of nutrients that are absorbed into the body, depriving it of vitamins and minerals that keep the skin and organs functioning at peak efficiency.
Being young looking gives you a whole other set of advantages, from career options, to a better social and love life. Appearance counts, whether or not we want to admit it. Being young looking and more attractive can take you places. Shallow as it is, more attractive people have more choices in romantic relationships and more friends. Our society loves beautiful people.

4. Clear thinking- It is not true that chemicals in cigarettes, alcohol and drugs amp up creativity levels. These effects are actually very short-lived and detrimental to overall bodyfunction.People who make the time to live healthfully and eat well are more able to think clearly. Healthy people are more able to focus and thus accomplish much more than less healthy people. They are also have clearer memories and are more dependable .
5. Emotionally secure- Active people who live a lives of health and fitness are happier. Since they are not plagued with by health issues, they are able to enjoy their lives more.They are more able to cope with stress and worry less. This may be because they don’t have to count on chemicals to cope with problems in their lives. Living a healthy lifestyle makes it easier to get through the pressures of daily life.
