How To Lose 15 Pounds Fast

Do you need to lose 15 pounds fast? There are three kinds of pounds you can lose - water, fat or muscle - which ones do you want to lose?

As you can see, most people that are talking about losing weight, do not really know what exactly this means. Most people automatically connect weight with fat, but that’s not accurate.

If the scale readout at the end is the most important part for you, then it probably doesn’t matter if you lose fat, muscle or water. When you are looking to lose that extra ring around your belly, then you are wanting to lose 15 pounds of fat fast.

Regardless of whether you want to lose fat or pounds, it’s important to know that water makes up part of that loss. In fact, during the first few days of any diet, water makes up the majority of loss.

Numerous websites are claiming that they are able to reveal to you how to lose 15 pounds fast. Of course they won’t inform you that it can be dangerous to your health if you are losing weight fast. Surely, it entirely depends what you think to be ‘fast’. A month seems to be fast for some people, while other people consider fast to be more immediate, like a couple of days.

To be realistic you should set your goal to lose 15 pounds in a months time, which is achievable if done right. However, it can be risky if the weight loss is not approached correctly.

To lose 15 pounds fast, you can’t just lose water, which of course would be the easiest to lose. The body can not survive without water. Deny the body the water and it will start to shut down.

Starvation or near starvation isn’t the answer either. In fact, not eating will cause your body to retain and even gain weight. Denying your body it’s nutrients, will trigger the alarm. Desperately trying to survive, your body will hold onto every little piece you eat - this will add weight.

A good way to lose 15 pounds fast is by eating foods like salmon which needs a lot of energy for the digestion. Of course you could start eating nothing else then fish or meat, but this is not a very healthy option either. To stay healthy, you need to feed your body a diet that gives it all nutrients it requires. You can eat a well-balanced diet and still lose weight if you know which foods to choose. Take your weight and fat content of your body before you begin with your weight loss plan and don’t forget to measure your body. There are special calipers available in weight and fitness centers (usually as a part of some tool kit), which allow you to take measurements of the fat tissue on different areas of your body. Keep these figures handy so you can see your progress.

Here are some things you can do to lose 15 pounds fast:

1) Try to avoid the use of salt, which causes the body to retain water. Cut back on salt and you’ll begin to shed weight.

2) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day to keep your body’s digestive process working.

3) Eat foods that need more energy for digestion, this includes, raw vegetables, cheese, fish, chicken, asparagus.

4) Drink more the 8 glasses of water during the day, this will help you increase your metabolism.

5) Exercise to build muscle, because muscle increases your metabolism naturally.

Re-take your measurements about every week or two and if you aren’t seeing results, adjust your weight loss plan accordingly.

You can lose 15 pounds fast if you stay with your plan and don’t give up, no matter what!
